college admission & Career coaching
A variety of options are available to guide your student toward clarity and success with the college search and application process. Choose from the options listed below or reach out to Sarah for a personalized option that best suits the needs of your child.
Option A: The Search is On!
A two-hour "crash course" in college selection and application. Students should come in with an idea of what they would like to study (vague ideas are fine) and be willing to deep dive into college exploration and the big steps related to application. Your student will leave the session with a list of 5-10 schools that meet their needs and an understanding of what is needed to apply.
Option B: Application Help & Guidance
Once a student has narrowed down their college choices to where they would like to apply, Option B is the way to go. In this two-hour session, students will work closely with Sarah to curate a well-thought out personal statement, ensure all application steps are understood, and form a pro/con list for their remaining school choices if needed. Option B takes your student one step closer to completing applications and receiving admission offers.
Option C: Scholarship Hunt & Revision
Option C is a great choice for students who have already decided where they will be attending or who would like to explore options for funding their college education. Option C is a two-hour session that will allow Sarah to work closely with your student to find scholarship opportunities they are eligible for and get a grasp on the requirements for them. This option also figures in time to revise and review personal statements for scholarship opportunities as well as how to request letters of recommendation from teachers.
*Following the two-hour sessions for Options A, B, and/or C, there will be a one hour check-in approximately two weeks later to review any ongoing questions or concerns.
Admission Essay Review & Editing
If your student knows where they will be applying and just needs a little help getting started or tweaking their admission essay, this option is the one for you. Sarah will read and check your student's essay for grammatical errors, syntax, and originality to ensure they have an eye-catching response.
Customized Hourly Session(s)
If none of the above options fit the needs of your student or a simple hour or two to get some clarity about college and career hunt is all that is needed, please reach out to discuss further. A customized package can be created to best serve you.
